Quinta de Cima provides a challenge for the more accomplished player. Longer hitters will enjoy the open fairways but will also have to deal with multiple, well-placed water hazards.
Good club selection and accuracy are key to success here, while elevated tees and greens make this a visually stunning course to play, and the abundance of bunkers over the course make it more of a challenge than its sister course Quinta de Ria, but enjoyable nonetheless.

As a legendary European Tour Course, the South course at Quinta do Lago has hosted the Portuguese Open on eight occasions.
